The Municipality of Piran (Slovenian: Пиран, Italian: Пирано) is one of the municipalities of the Obalno-Kraška region in the state of Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Piran of the same name.

The municipality of Izola is one of the 3 municipalities in Slovenia with access to the sea (Adriatic), which are also the only ones in the country with a recognized Italian minority.
